DC There Not There

An inner city project in Washington D.C. reflecting the neighborhood of the 9th District.
Using the layout of the neighborhood around the area of the site,
Matt Carucci and I recreated the city blocks in the foyer of an old school that is now a residential building.
We then introduced 150 vertical lines to represent utility poles, once the stalwarts of a burgeoning Twentieth Century
but have become the blight of the new technologies of the Twenty First Century.
